Module 1. From Sustainability to Regeneration: Strategic Reorientation of Organisations

Short description

This module introduces participants to the evolution of the concept of sustainability towards a regenerative approach, highlighting the need for a strategic reorientation of organizations in the face of current social and organizational challenges.

Detailed description

  • General description of the unit: This module addresses the transition from sustainability to regeneration, integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as central elements of organizations’ strategic reorientation. Thus, this module addresses the transition of organizational paradigms: from “Sustainability” (focused on reducing negative impacts and maintaining balance) to “Regeneration” (focused on creating positive impacts and restoring social and human systems). Throughout the module, participants will be invited to reflect on their own organizations, analyzing existing practices and identifying opportunities to integrate regenerative and inclusive principles into their strategies and operations. The goal is to foster a shift in mindset, encouraging leaders to act as agents of change toward more just, inclusive, and sustainable organizations.
