Learning from Networks: Shaping the Future Together
At fit4thefuture, we believe that sustainable change happens when people connect, share experiences, and learn from one another. This idea lies at the heart of our upcoming Train the Trainers event in Leipzig, Germany.
To put these values into practice, the programme includes a study visit to MDR (Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk), one of Germany’s public broadcasting organizations. MDR provides television, radio, and digital media services across Central Germany and plays an important role in delivering independent journalism, cultural programming, and educational content.
During our study visit, we will gain authentic insights from MDR employees who are actively involved in internal networks, including the Women’s Network and Change Management. They will share their experiences of how collaboration, diversity, and innovation are promoted within a large media organization.
Change Management supports departments and managers in implementing change in a future-oriented and sustainable way by creating spaces for dialogue, learning, and collaboration, and by jointly developing the necessary competencies, structures, and processes. Implementation is carried out by trained Change Architects at management level and Change Facilitators within teams.
The Women’s Network brings together all women at MDR who want to actively contribute to and engage in the network. It creates space for professional exchange, mentoring, and mutual support while strengthening equality, diversity, and an inclusive workplace culture. By connecting women across departments, roles, and levels of experience, the network supports both individual development and organisational growth.
Networks like these demonstrate the value of collaboration, trust, and continuous learning. They provide opportunities to exchange knowledge, challenge perspectives, and develop ideas that contribute to positive and lasting change.
We are excited to explore these inspiring examples during our study visit and to continue the conversation with our participants in Leipzig. Together, we will reflect on how strong networks can empower people, inspire innovation, and help us shape the future—together.
